Hanging Out to Dry
Hopes of clouds drifting past the sun for a brief kiss of cool air. Hot sticky and sandy skin seeking an escape from the heat of the day. The beach house - is there anything more relaxing and representative of summer than a visit to the beach and an escape to the beach house at the heat of the day? The towels dry but hold the memories of sand and salt.

Estuary Overlook
8x8 pastel on paper
This tree stands alone in the estuary corrider on the drive into Galveston. It is a peaceful, meditative place where birds nest in spite of the nearby highway. Grasses and wildflowers mingle here with the salt marshes.
