Leaning Tower of Dallas

Some things stand against time and apparently implosions as well. A proud building refusing to be knocked down even against explosions and wrecking balls. I caught this image while the building was still standing in stop motion awaiting it’s ultimate fate of being replaced by a newer model.

Yellow Field

"Art is the unceasing effort to compete with the beauty of flowers - and never succeeding. "

Gian Carlo Menotti

Look familiar? I decided to do an oil from yesterday's plein air painting. I love the textures I can achieve with oil paint. Pastel has different textures but can't be piled on like oils.
