Waiting Patiently
pastel on paper 5 x 5 inches
Just off the road perched above the bay, waiting unnoticed as everyone passes by with their daily lives. Nothing special but always available to greet it's patrons with a warm, dry roof overhead.

Center of Attention
There is nothing like lemons to cool off a hot summer day. Straight up or with sugar added, they are a welcome addition to the day's heat. The ultramarine blues of the sky and water and the brilliant happy yellow of sunshine.

After the Rain
pastel on paper 5 x 5 inches
I found this amazing puddle reflection down by Trinity Groves after the 500 year floods. This is my first attempt at the scene. I think I may try some other color variations and compositions.

Vinalhaven Fog
Vinalhaven Fog
Daily painting pastel on paper
5 x 7 inches
My intent for this summer solstice was to paint something on site but the weather didn't really cooperate so instead I took advantage of the longest day of the year to paint my favorite place in the world. Today's rainy weather reminded me a little of the Vinalhaven fog - without the sound of the ferry horn.
