The aubergine or eggplant if you prefer. It is actually a berry but masquerades as a vegetable. The shiny deep purple vegetable soaks up the sun and saves it's flavors to warm the heart. Eggplant parmesan, fried, baked, grilled. Add some cheese and spicy sauce and dinner is served!
I enjoy painting our beautiful world and everything in it. I especially enjoy creating small daily paintings as a way to explore color and composition. I am initially attracted to a scene for its geometric relationships, rhythm or by a striking color contrast or harmony. I use strong imaginative color to create contemporary images. The interaction of color and composition evolves to describe the world as I see it.
