The Pecos River, a breath of life running through New Mexico on the drive into Roswell. Just a quick stop but the life giving water fills the landscape with color as it winds through the parched land. pastel on paper approx 8 x 8.5 inches.

I enjoy painting our beautiful world and everything in it. I especially enjoy creating small daily paintings as a way to explore color and composition. I am initially attracted to a scene for its geometric relationships, rhythm or by a striking color contrast or harmony. I use strong imaginative color to create contemporary images. The interaction of color and composition evolves to describe the world as I see it.
